There will be a special blessing of seeds as we celebrate our annual Rural Life Masses this weekend (May 11-12). Please bring any seeds or plants you would like blessed with you to Mass. A variety of blessed garden seeds provided by the Human Concerns Committee will also be available after Masses for as long as supply lasts.

The Rural Life banner we display at Resurrection Church is a replica of the large one used on the platform erected for Pope St. John Paul II's visit to Iowa on Oct. 4, 1979. The center cross symbolizes furrowed soil and seeds. Four fields within the arms of the cross represent contours of plowed fields; the colors representing four seasons.

St. Isidore, the Farmer, pray for us.
